ASTHA Mission for Sustainability

 

ASTHA mission for sustainability is to create a world in which human society can thrive in harmony with the natural environment, without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This requires a shift away from the current economic and social systems that prioritize short-term gain over long-term sustainability, and towards a more holistic and integrated approach that balances economic, social, and environmental concerns.

The  key goals of ASTHA on sustainability mission include:

 

1.   Reducing greenhouse gas emissions and slowing climate change through the adoption of renewable energy sources and more efficient use of resources.

2.   Protecting and restoring natural ecosystems and biodiversity, including forests, oceans, and other critical habitats.

3.   Promoting sustainable agriculture and land use practices that support healthy ecosystems and communities.

4.   Reducing waste and promoting circular economy models that prioritize resource efficiency and minimize waste.

5.   Promoting social equity and justice by addressing issues of poverty, inequality, and marginalization, and ensuring that all individuals have access to basic needs such as food, water, and shelter.
